These images will give you an idea of the exhibition (which is HUGE). Each of the yarn manufacturers has their own individual style of display, some just have walls and nothing on show until you get inside – these tend to be the bigger and more popular manufacturers who don’t need to try so hard to pull business in. I loved the display of hands just below, with fingerprint patterns linked to aerial landscapes. The theme of things layered or morphed ran through quite a few stands at Pitti.

I could easily see those knitted strips as a garment. Reminds me of a lion’s mane. And I’m drooling over that long coat third row up from bottom.
