Scarf assignment
Quite a feat to knit (500+ sts per row), I don’t think I’d want to work buttonhole technique for a long while after this…. I can’t locate the design development photos (taken a while ago) but will add them later. It is knitted sideways & there is a narrower and denser centre section, where it…

C&G Level 3 Cardigan/Jacket assignment
This is the last task for the L3 course, so a cause for celebration. This was an interesting approach, the student decided to study tailored riding habits and produce a fitted jacket. C&G L3 M12 Cardigan assignment

C&G L3 M12 Cardigan assignment
This student faced her knit demons (Intarsia technique) big time in this assignment. Lots of yarn sampling before making final choices was key to the success of the overall knitted fabric. There are a number of different yarns, which gives extra contrast & interest. Inspiration was striped images, which led to weeds flowing in water…

C&G L3 Fashion Accessory (scarf for a man)
It’s hard to photograph deep blue yarn! It is baby camel/silk laceweight 800m per 100g. It is a cleverly devised (LOTS of sampling to develop the stitch pattern and trying different yarns) fabric, with asymmetric chevron-look raised stitch pattern that uses a crossed cable and the scarf-wrap itself is an asymmetric shape.
