Pitti general images continued

The first four pics show the J C Rennie stand – which was a big disappointment to me.  A brilliant yarn company who have a fantastic range colours of Scottish wool & a long heritage (I first bought from them in 1982 when I was still  at college).  No wonder they weren’t doing much business, nothing told their story or invited you in.  A desk with the boss discussing yarn with a customer and another with two staff chatting at the back.  Where were the huge pictures of the amazing Scottish landscape colours that inspired the range?  Where were the displays showing their amazing range of melange and solid colours?  It costs many thousands to have a stand at Pitti, so you’d think that using all the bare wall space to promote their yarns would have been a good plan. Immediately after the JCR pics are images of another yarn company stand – a themed display with retro clocks.  This created lots of attention.  The final set of pics is a very in-your-face themed display.

A lesson in the power of displaying your wares to best advantage if you want to sell well!
